Rozmic Wireless -- Windows XP & Windows 2000 Installation Guide:

The following steps will allow you to install and run Rozmic Messenger. Download the setup file onto your PC.

Double click on the setup.exe file, the following screen will be displayed:




Follow the instructions until the software is installed.

Once the software has been installed you will be able to run the Rozmic Messenger by clicking on the following logo on your desktop:

Enter your Username, Password and Comapany ID in the boxes on the following screen.
These are the details that you use to login to the Rozmic Desktop Messenger.



A successful login will load the contacts list:



This is a list of your co-workers. You can see if anybody in your contact list is online by looking at the icon beside their name. There are three possibilities:
 This user is offline.
 This user is online and is ready to accept chat and file transfers
This user is online, but is away from their computer.




To initiate a chat with a contact, either double click their name or right click on them and select the chat option from the menu. This will open up a chat window. To send a message type in the lower text box and either press the Send button or press the Enter key on the keyboard. The message sent and any reply will appear in the upper text box. It is also possible to send smilies by pressing the appropriate button

You can transfer files directly to your contacts using Rozmic Messenger by dragging the file onto the recipients name, or by pressing the file transfer button.

The recipient will then be asked to confirm that they wish to receive the file and if they agree the file will be saved to a location of their choice. You can change your default settings in the Options section.

To initiate a group chat, select each contact to be in the chat, using the Mouse and the Ctrl key and the Right click and select Group chat. This will open up the Group chat window. Sending messages works in the same way as for individual chats. It is possible to add new contacts to the chat at any time by double clicking on their name in the contacts portion of the window. All current participants in the chat are shown in the participants list.


Right Clicking the Company name brings up the Broadcast Message box. Typing in the text box sends a message to all users in a Company.



The Options page will allow you to change the workings of the Rozmic Messenger. It is possible to enable and disable Audio Alerts, hide your offline contacts and set the time limit before your status is changed to away. It is also possible to set the auto login feature to avoid the need to enter your details every time you log on. The Company ID can also be changed in this page, but this option should only be changed by IT Support personnel, as it can have extremely damaging effect upon the workings of the Rozmic Messenger.


The Options page also allows the setup of Auto Reply Messages. Auto Reply Messages can be used to further explain a user’s status when they are away. For example, if the user is in a meeting, they can set their status to away and then enable Auto Reply to say in a meeting until 2PM.
