Network Connections – Where to locate your new Rozmic Spam and Virus Firewall server
It is possible to install Rozmic Spam and Virus Firewall on your DMZ or behind your corporate firewall but there are no additional security benefits for doing so. You will need to use either a public IP address, a private IP address NAT'ed to a public IP address or a combination of both. Using the port forwarding feature of your corporate firewall you will need to ensure that the following ports are accessible from the Internet:
Inbound Ports:
22 SSH (secure connection to Rozmic IM admin server)
25 SMTP (to allow inbound SMTP traffic)
6227 XMPP (feeds from the Rozmic Update Management server)
Outbound Ports:
21 FTP (outbound FTP for scan services)
22 SSH (secure connection to Rozmic admin server)
25 SMTP (to allow outbound SMTP traffic)
53 DNS (DSN services)
123 NTP (time server)
6227 XMPP (feeds from the Rozmic Update Management server)
